Today, at all 6,800 Starbucks run company stores and all the Starbucks located inside Target stores you can feed your caffeine addiction without every swiping a credit card or plunking down cash!

Thanks to their iPhone and Blackberry apps (What’s up the not having and Android App????) you can pay simply by scanning the bar code on your phone!

McDonald’s Not Far Behind in Mobile Payments

McDonald’s now has 1,200 stores in Great Britain set-up to accept mobile phone payments.  No commitment date on enabling their US stores but how far away can that reality be?  Right now there are 12,804 McDonald’s stores in the United States. That’s a whole lot of mobile commerce that will be in smack in the face of the American consumer in the very near future.
